During the MIraGE online training for third country nationals (TCNs), the team of SwIdeas AB and the participants discussed about the structure and organization of the Swedish labour market. These insights are interesting and relevant for you who are looking for a job in Sweden!

  • Around 70% of all employees in the Swedish labour market work in the private sector. The most common business areas are: small enterprises, manufacturing and construction industries, transportation companies, restaurants, firms with a focus on law & finance.
  • Approximately, 30% of the remaining employees work in the public sector, with the most common jobs being in healthcare, education, police & civil service, social work & social care, environmental protection & waste management.
